Merry Christmas Merry Christmas

Here it is, something-to-midnight on Christmas Eve, and I’m finally over the rushing about and am struck with the urge to wish all readers of this blog many blessings for the Christmas season.

This year, Dickens’ story ‘A Christmas Carol’ has been featuring on my Christmas agenda — a play at Sydney’s Belvoir Theatre, a movie, a story, a silly animation that Pandora and I made. Though I don’t think I’m yet in the curmudgeonly category of Ebenezer Scrooge, I was inspired to look up Christmases past. It’s a pleasure to troll through the old photos and see the family change, grow up, sort itself into different little families and come together again; to see new children born and new partners join the circle.
